Bocca di Bonifacio
The Bocche di Bonifacio strait between Sardinia and Corsica is known for its treacherous currents, shallow waters, and strong winds. It has a history of shipwrecks, including the famous Spargi Wreck from 120 BC. Greek mythology associates the strait with the Lestrigones, giants who destroyed Ulysses' fleet. Bocca di Bonifacio, a restaurant in Barcelona, is named after this strait and combines traditional Italian cuisine with modern influences.
