Recreation The Veldkamp

Land Between The Lakes National Recreation Area spans 170,000 acres in western Kentucky and Tennessee. It features numerous trails for biking, hiking, horseback riding, hunting, and off-highway vehicles. Visitors can enjoy camping, picnicking, swimming, boating, and fishing. The area also offers wildlife viewing opportunities at Woodlands Nature Station and The Homeplace, a living history farm. The Elk & Bison Prairie provides a chance to see native plants and animals, while the Golden Pond Planetarium hosts daily shows.
