Drove across to Ambleside in the early hours to hike Loughrigg Fell for sunrise, got to the top at about 5am and stayed for over an hour watching the sun come up with my friend (and my dog)

It's a great hike to do with a dog, and the views on the descent coming down from the fell towards Grasmere Lake are stunning

Dog friendly walk near Ambleside and suitable for anyone with reasonable fitness
