Popped in after a 6 mile dog walk along the River Kent as my Mum was in Westmorland General Hospital still having her mastectomy. Dogs are allowed in the bar (not the restaurant), there are plenty of seats and tables to choose from and have to be on the floor - mine was that tired she didn’t care, as long as she was warm and cosy

Stopped in for a bit of lunch on our way to ulverston as was dog friendly, a light lunch and everything was spot on, staff were brilliant and very friendly and efficient
